I've always had a fear of needles, despite this fear I have always wanted to donate blood. Half because blood is always in high demand, and half bc I feel like once I donate blood I'll feel like I have officially put my fear into it's grave.
A little while ago I had to go to the doctor and get my blood drawn for tests several times (I'm good btw 👍) so I have been facing my fear head on. This gave me the confidence to go to a blood drive ...and yeah, they couldn't take anything from me.
My heart rate was slightly too high for them so I got denied. They said if I were to donate with too high of a heart rate it's possible my body could go into shock and I could blackout. I admit I was a little nervous so that's probably why they had to send me loose, they we're kind enough give me juice and treats even though I didn't do anything useful lol. How unfortunate.
But don't worry I'm gonna keep on pushing for donations, I'll always push for donations, and you WILL take my blood motherfuckers.
